Champions of Sport

Today, we have found it necessary to suspend AFTAL member Champions of Sport, pending investigation. Peter Banner, owner of Champions of Sport has agreed to work with AFTAL during the investigation. Early enquiries found items of alleged questionable material had originated from a member of staff at Portsmouth FC, a Mr Steve Pearson (trading as COLLECTOGRAPHS), and we have now learnt that this member of staff has been relieved of their duties due to alleged gross misconduct.

We understand that Mr Pearson in turn supplied them to a Mr Dave Walker (not an AFTAL dealer and trading as WBC Merchandising Europe), who in turn supplied them to Peter Banner at Champions of Sport, who may have then supplied them to other dealers or members of the public. Although we do not have full details of the items involved, we understand they are football related, and as soon as we do we will pass them on to all AFTAL members. In the mean time, if you have purchased anything from any of these people, we suggest that you contact them immediately.
